Fortunato Construction Group is searching for an energetic, dedicated and skilled bookkeeper who is looking to join a collaborative team at a well-respected and growing construction company.  The ideal candidate is a highly organized, talented multi-tasker with strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and superb communication skills.  A willingness to work collaboratively to improve processes and procedures, and the ability to balance and prioritize competing demands will serve candidates well in this role. 

As a highly reputable firm in the industry, our team understands that serving clients and supporting our subcontractor community is of utmost importance to our success.  The effective candidate recognizes this critical success factor, and brings a “whatever it takes” attitude to work each day to meet this goal. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  •  Managing Accounts Payable including recording invoices received, preparing payment selection reports, printing and recording checks, communicating with subcontractors to obtain requirements for payment, developing, reviewing and tracking waivers, and following up on pending payables.
  •  Managing Accounts Receivable including processing and logging owner requisitions, preparing documentation required for submission with requisitions, depositing and recording payments, and researching and solving payment discrepancies.
  • Managing new vendor paperwork, collection of insurance certificates, reviewing and coding credit card charges, tracking and ordering of office supplies and safety equipment.
  • Supporting the office manager in answering phones, answering the door, pick up and drop off of mail, and filing when necessary.

Individuals with construction accounting experience, familiarity with Timberline, strong computer skills, and desire to be part of something great are strongly encouraged to submit their qualifications below. 

Bookkeeper


Project Manager 

Fortunato Construction Group is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a construction related field or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.  This opportunity requires a minimum 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge of budgeting, design, and estimating, scheduling, purchasing and overall project management. This position will provide management direction for 2-3 projects at a given time.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.  Project managers are responsible for representing the company in owner and subcontractor project meetings. 

Candidate must have strong computer skills and experience with MS project, word & Excel. Timberline & iSQft experience a plus but not required.

Qualifications

Fortunato Construction is looking for an experienced field superintendent to join our team of expert construction managers. The successful candidate must have a minimum 3 years of relevant commercial construction field experience, excellent work ethic, and a "whatever it takes" attitude towards solving problems.

This position requires travel through out the northeast. Our projects are fast paced and require an energetic person for the position. The successful candidate will be on site daily supervising safety, layout, coordination, planning and scheduling of work. Knowledge of all construction trades and strong plan reading skills are required. OSHA Certification is required. Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. A bachelors degree in related field is preferred but not required.

Field Superintendent


Fortunato Construction Group is seeking a talented multi-tasker to join our skilled administrative team.  The successful candidate will have 3 years of administrative or accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to move quickly and easily between tasks.  Candidates must have strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel.  Experience with Sage Timberline a plus, but not required.  The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
