Fortunato Construction Group has named Lindsey Fortunato president and CEO of the company, ushering in a new generation of leadership at the family-owned firm.
She follows in the footsteps of her father, Vincent Fortunato, who founded the Berlin-based company and has more than 40 years of construction experience. He will remain engaged with the company as an adviser.
Lindsey Fortunato is a registered architect and graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she also worked as an adjunct professor.
She previously served as the company’s director of planning and strategy and was tapped to become CEO in May.
“I have been fortunate to watch this company navigate a variety of economic ups and downs, and I feel confident not only that we have a solid foundation, but that we are by nature a very responsive firm that our clients can depend upon,” Lindsey Fortunato said.
Before working for Fortunato Construction Group, she worked at JCJ Architecture in Boston.
Fortunato Construction Group has built corporate spaces for CBS, Gerber Scientific, Dell and Legrand, as well as federal and state government agencies.
The firm recently completed Rivers Edge Marina in Portland, Gengras Volvo in East Hartford and KinderCare in Vernon. It serves Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, the New York metro area, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and neighboring states.
